Letter of Commendation

   Sulphur Police Chief Chris Abrahams presented Sergeant Lewis Coats and Detective Lane Matte Commendations for their help in recent theft case. The Commendation reads as follows;

   Sergeant Lewis Coats and Detective Lane Matte stopped from their busy caseloads upon the call from Officer Greg Martin to help in recover of a stolen 4-wheeler. Their interrogation abilities and efforts resulted in the implication of other suspects in the case.

   Further investigation led them back to the wooded area where numerous of other stolen items were located that was transported there by the suspect on the 4-wheeler. Their relentless efforts and constant pursuit of leads and witnesses led to the arrest of the suspect and location of the other items and the possibility of the suspect being involved in other cars and 4-wheelers thefts in the Sulphur area.

   Sergeant Lewis Coats and Detective Lane Matte are a credit to this department and to their fellow officers.
